New York - Banking Regulatory Mid-level Associate

Our client, a global law firm, known for its agile team of legal, business, finance, and technology professionals, is seeking a junior or midlevel associate with 2-5 years of experience at a large law firm, state or Federal financial regulator (Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, NYDFS, or similar agency) or as in-house counsel at a bank, trust company, bank holding company or similar banking organization to join their financial institutions practice.
The successful applicant must possess experience with bank, trust company, and other insured depository institution regulatory matters, the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 (or Home Owners’ Loan Act), National Bank Act, Federal Deposit Insurance Act, International Banking Act of 1978, and other federal banking laws. Must have experience in counseling top tier banking organizations on bank regulatory matters, such as prudential bank regulation, control and permissibility issues, the Volcker Rule, OCC Part 9 and similar fiduciary operations, compliance policies and procedures, change in control and other regulatory filings, regulatory capital and liquidity requirements, regulatory examinations and enforcement defense supervisory actions, and the development of new financial products and services.
The annual compensation range for this position is between $215,000 to $415,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
